Walk a Mile

The artist RJ Wordsymth wrote the lyrics of Walk a Mile in My Shoes based on his real experiences with homelessness. I put his lyrics to music and took him into the studio to record his spoken word and my guitar/vocal tracks.  The song and footage (thanks Paul Horton, Paul Horton Visuals) of the video will be incorporated into a documentary, Walk a Mile in My Shoes, bringing to life the realities of homelessness in the Hartford area. The Faces of Homelessness, a local homeless speaking bureau, associated with Hands on Hartford, will be debuting the completed film soon. Stay tuned to walk another mile.

Crown of the Continent

I had the privilege of teaching at the Crown of the Continent Guitar Festival and Workshop a couple weeks ago. It’s held at the Flathead Lake Lodge on a breathtaking ranch in Montana. Not only do you get to study with some of the finest teachers in the country, but every evening there are concerts by the some greatest guitar players around (Pat Metheney, Dweezil Zappa, Scott Tennant and more). Students, teachers, and guest artists just hang out together – make music and enjoy a magical week. Check it out. http://cocguitarfoundation.org/
